"We, the Brothers of Mu Beta Psi, in order to establish a Fraternity to foster the study of music, to encourage fellowship among musicians, and to advance music within the college community, do hereby ordain and establish this Constitution of Mu Beta Psi."
Mu Beta Psi is one of the nation's oldest musical fraternities. Founded in 1925 on the campus of North Carolina State University, its members now span seven collegiate Chapters in six states plus a national Alumni Association. The mission of the co-ed Fraternity is to honor those who support music, foster fellowship among musicians, and promote music in education.
Mu Beta Psi is proud to announce that we are participating in Relay for Life again this year! April 24-25, Brothers will be at the RAC on Livingston Campus helping support the fight against cancer.
Later this month, Brothers will also be participating in Dance Marathon as members of the purple team! On April 1, we will be in the RAC for 12+ hours, dancing to support the Embrace Kids Foundation, which supports families of kids with cancer and other bone and blood diseases. Here at Pi Chapter we're excited for these opportunities to help make a difference!
National Convention was hosted by Alpha Chapter this year, in Raleigh, North Carolina on the campus of North Carolina State University. It brought together Brothers from all the active chapters, as well as numerous alumni and Brothers involved with the Alumni Association. Workshops and meetings were held, but overall it was a way to meet new Brothers and get to know them and their chapters. Pi Chapter took home the prize for the "Price"less Memories Scrapbook Contest, and also had a strong showing in the talent show held Friday evening. The 8 hour drive was well worth it for the love and Brotherhood experienced, even so many miles away.
