Interview: Jamea Torres

1.What made you decide to come to Rutgers?

I was already a part of the Rutgers marching band for two years prior to being admitted into Rutgers.

2. What has your Rutgers experience been like so far (extra curriculars, favorite classes, etc.)?

So far, the Rutgers marching band, but next will probably be Dance Marathon.

3. What made you choose your instrument?

I’ve been playing clarinet since 3rd grade. It was kinda forced by my mom, but it was for a good reason.

4. What made you decide to join Mu Beta Psi?

I saw how involved they were when it comes to the marching band, and I always wanted to give back to my college community.

5. What has being in Mu Beta Psi been like for you?

It’s been an eye-opening experience. I’ve made the best decision joining Mu Beta Psi.

6. Do you have a favorite memory in Mu Beta Psi?

My retreat with my Member-in-Training class.

7. What do you like to do in your free time?

I spend my time playing video games with my friends online and sleeping.

8. Do you have any advice for anyone interested in joining Mu Beta Psi or looking to get more involved?

Give back to your school and your community. With your limited time at school, make the most of it by doing service and helping out.
